Best happy hour in all of Brickell and food never disappoints! Highly recommend their lychee martinis! Service can sometimes be slow but very friendly staff! Ambiance is great for chit chat!
Beautifully designed, you walk through a Shinto inspired shine resembling entrance, a very pure Japanese experience. Hostesses were efficient, a little delayed from my start time but got me seated within a reasonable time. Our server was very kind, almost perfect but could have been a little more attentive with water fillings and checking in. Overall consensus was the food was spectacular but perhaps expensive for the quality you get. The sushi quality was fresh and tasty (I got the truffled scallops nigiri and the miso inspired roll). To be fair, you're paying for location and ambiance too, so all n all I felt it fair. I'd recommend and return!
Amazing food and even better service! Ana was so sweet and attentive to our needs. First time here and we're already planning to be back this same trip!!! COME HERE- YOU WILL LOVE!!!
Paperfish is a good restaurant with a great vibe. Food wise, it has some options that are better than others but good overall. Service is definitely attentive and friendly. Menu has lots of options, and the wine list is simple but has some really good wines and sake. For those who like cocktails or hard drinks, it has a full bar nicely stocked.
very pretty restaurant that reminds me very much of Japan from many cherry blossom trees to the orange gates (fox temple in kyoto) we had the PaperFish bento sets that are served with miso soup, 4 pcs tuna rolls, 3 pcs salmon aburi (torched salmon, truffle oil, lime zest), house salad, and pork+shrimp gyoza 2pcs and the chirasi poke bowl :) that comes with salmon, tuna, hamachi with edamame, avocado, cucumber served with soy truffle service was really quick, staff was so friendly and helpful
Tried the happy hour and it was great! The food has decent number of options for $7-$8 the plate, pf course is a happy hour portion that is smaller but adequate to try many small bites. The drinks are also good and tasty and in regular size. Would definitely go back. Parking is not as easy in the area so it depends on what your budget is, street parking is more difficult to find than flat rate garages.
My friend suggested a girls' night out and recommended this place--I'm so glad she did! The ambiance was very chill, and although it was a bit far from home, it was such a nice, relaxing spot. Now, the food... absolutely amazing. When something is simple, it should be done exceptionally well, and this place nailed it. The quality and freshness of the ingredients really came through in every bite. Between the refreshing drinks, delicious food, and friendly service, it was a fantastic experience. I'll definitely be back!
This place may be one of my favorite happy hours right now! First, a daily happy hour from 4-7 pm, as in yes, even on weekends! Second, you tell me how many happy hours you have found in Brickell on the weekends, much less a happy hour you actually want to go for. The entrance is certainly the most creative one I've walked through, with a replica of a torii (a temple gate) surrounding the staircase up. It was kind of hard to find, despite my putting in the correct address in an Uber. My friend and I had to walk around the block and past Barsecco a couple times before being able to find it. I couldn't even find it and it took a worker in the back of a building, asking if I was looking for the restaurant, and he pointed me towards the entrance. Once you find it, though, it is a treat to be inside. The ceilings are high, and there are cherry blossom replicas decorating the booth ledges to give it a cute Japanese feel. The cocktails are $7.95 each during happy hour and are well crafted. I had a Passion Fruit Martini which had plenty of fresh fruit flavor, without being overly sweet, as well as a Dragon Mule which is a Moscow Mule made with dragon fruit. The purple color of the dragon fruit made an ordinary fresh mule so delightful to drink. We sat at the bar and could see our drinks being carefully made, which explained the great quality of the drinks. The lychee martini was also incredibly great/strong, combining the candy sweetness of puréed lychee with the punch of vodka--- exactly what you want in one. They have sake, white and red wine, and beer for $6.95 during happy hour as well. Pretty amazing pricing for Brickell! The food offerings do not disappoint either. Each happy hour food item is $7.95 and are satisfying to have. We had two orders of the sashimi chef selection, and it came with thick cuts of very fresh akami tuna, hamachi and salmon. We shared a 5 piece roll of the Hamachi Jalapeño which was also fresh and flavorful but not overly dressed, so I could taste the fleshy hamachi inside with the zesty micro greens on the outside. Salmon Nigiri is also offered for four pieces in a dish, and I'm glad we got two orders of them. The sushi rice amount was just right for nigiri, and the salmon was the perfect amount of flesh and fatty that I wanted about 20 more of them. This was a great way to have some wonderful bites and drinks in the start of what turned into a night out in Brickell! I've already told friends about the drinks and menu items, and I'm already thinking about when to go back! You should try it too!
Wasn't the easiest to find using Apple Maps walking directions but make sure you look behind the metro mover for the cute red stairs. The decor inside was so cute. Started with the spicy edamame, then ordered 1 Tuna Crispy Rice & 1 Salmon Crispy Rice and for dinner I had the Truffled Scallops. Let me just say the Salmon Crispy Rice & Truffled Scallops are AMAZING. Can't wait to return to order both items again.
Food: overall a solid and casual japanese sushi experience. The selection isn't vast however that's a good thing when we're talking about keeping an inventory of fresh sushi. The uni nigiri was a bit fisher than I prefer but otherwise, sushi rice was perfectly seasoned. I enjoyed the fact that they offered furikake on top of sides of sushi rice. The miso seabass was a smidge too sweet otherwise it would have been five stars. Atmosphere: all of the other restaurants were blaring loud clubbing music. I'm really glad this place didnt.
